It was so much fun meeting this beautiful couple last week. Jackie and Rob are expecting their first baby, and it’s a girl! With two fur babies and a newborn on the way, they have so much to look forward to. I’ve already got some cute ideas for their newborn session. I’m looking forward to meeting her in a few weeks!
Hello my friends and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday season. There is something so recharging about starting a new year. It’s a great time for me to set my intentions and put into action the plans I want to make for the studio and for myself in the new year.
I think we all feel a little bit out of sorts after the new year, and for me, I like to take the first few weeks to get my creative juices flowing again. I put away most of the Christmas studio props that have been out since before Halloween. I do like to keep the winter looking greenery and some of the small holiday details around for a few more weeks. It takes so much time and effort to put them up and decorate for the season, I want to enjoy them for as long as possible.
I also want to take this time to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support of me and my studio this year. I hope to keep the ideas flowing and am planning on a couple of mini shoots for Easter and another this summer. Which brings me to….
Take a look at this new prop that my client, Jen’s husband made for me! I am over the moon excited and so grateful for this generous gift! My very own booth! I have so many ideas for this prop and can’t wait to use it this year. I’m thinking of using it for Lemonade Stand, Kissing Booth, Hot Cocoa Stand, Carnival Booth and who knows what else I can think of. This will be turned into our Christmas Mini Session Hot Cocoa Booth for the year of 2019. So, stay tuned for that. I will start booking for that around Oct. 1st, 2019.
I also have a personal project happening too. My personal line of greeting cards that includes some whimsy illustrated designs along with some of the nature photography that I do in my spare time. This will include digital art downloads that you can use for your own personal use. A lot to work on for this, but to get a taste, check out my Art Shop Page.
Have a wonderful new year!
Last Thursday night I attended the 13th Annual Bids For Kids Auction & Gala at Sheraton Framingham Hotel to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metrowest. This is my 13th time volunteering my time and photographing the gala. My husband Lou and I both are childhood members of the club and know first hand what the club can do to help children after school while our parents were working multiple jobs, so, this is personal for us.
Knowing that there was a safe place to go after school that treated you like family was priceless. I will always be grateful for the time spent with people who made this possible.
To be among some of the supporters like Wegmans, Reliant Medical Group, Hologic, TJX, and many other corporations around the Metrowest area, makes me feel proud for myself and for my company. They were there for me, and now I can be there for them. It’s what they do!
