Having Abigail, a Nashoba Regional High School Senior here last week was a pleasure. I’ve known Abigail her entire life! Her perky smile and style came through in her session. Taken at our outdoor studio space and our neighbor’s farm, North Gate Farm.
Outdoor Studio Gardens
When the Hayes family comes, I know mom has spent her time to pull the families outfits together, and pays special attention to keeping the classic style. When I saw these little darling outfits, I knew I wanted to incorporate my Vintage Vermont Baskets, and some of the greenery around the studio. Baby C had a little boo-boo under his chin, and I choose to keep it there and not touch it up. I love to keep things real, and to me, it shows how being one can bang you up a little bit.
The upright, pink and purple perennials are in full bloom, and that was perfect for little L to show me that she loves flowers as much as I do.
I look forward to seeing this family again soon with their cousins in the fall for their Christmas cards too!
Hello my friends and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday season. There is something so recharging about starting a new year. It’s a great time for me to set my intentions and put into action the plans I want to make for the studio and for myself in the new year.
I think we all feel a little bit out of sorts after the new year, and for me, I like to take the first few weeks to get my creative juices flowing again. I put away most of the Christmas studio props that have been out since before Halloween. I do like to keep the winter looking greenery and some of the small holiday details around for a few more weeks. It takes so much time and effort to put them up and decorate for the season, I want to enjoy them for as long as possible.
I also want to take this time to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support of me and my studio this year. I hope to keep the ideas flowing and am planning on a couple of mini shoots for Easter and another this summer. Which brings me to….
Take a look at this new prop that my client, Jen’s husband made for me! I am over the moon excited and so grateful for this generous gift! My very own booth! I have so many ideas for this prop and can’t wait to use it this year. I’m thinking of using it for Lemonade Stand, Kissing Booth, Hot Cocoa Stand, Carnival Booth and who knows what else I can think of. This will be turned into our Christmas Mini Session Hot Cocoa Booth for the year of 2019. So, stay tuned for that. I will start booking for that around Oct. 1st, 2019.
I also have a personal project happening too. My personal line of greeting cards that includes some whimsy illustrated designs along with some of the nature photography that I do in my spare time. This will include digital art downloads that you can use for your own personal use. A lot to work on for this, but to get a taste, check out my Art Shop Page.
Have a wonderful new year!
When your client bakes a homemade apple pie for her fall apple mini session, I had to get in on the action! Thank you Jennifer for getting me out from behind the camera! I look like a boy with my hair in the vintage twist, but, I still love these, and yes, that shirt was planned for the mini session weekend!!! If you’d still like to get in for a mini session I can set this up all week, but, I don’t bake.
